Iron ore powder, manganese ore powder, chromium slag micro-powder, phosphate ore powder, copper, lead, zinc, and other slag micro-powders used in smelting plants, as well as sludge generated from processes such as calcination, steelmaking, and ironmaking, calcined return ore, bag filter dust, steel slag magnetic separation materials, iron scale, and other copper-containing wastes, can all be processed into cold-pressed pellets. These pellets can be directly used as recycled materials in blast furnaces, reduction furnaces, cupolas, and submerged arc furnaces without the need for calcination. Using this product, one ton of binder can produce 30-50 tons of cold-bonded pellets. They are formed in one step with a forming rate of 95%. The dry pellets do not break when dropped from a height of over 2 meters and can be naturally dried or air-dried. After drying, the cold compressive strength reaches 100 kg per pellet. They are heat-resistant, with an appropriate particle size distribution, and naturally solidify to be moisture-proof and waterproof. This technology changes the current situation where iron ore powder can only be used for rolling pellets, increasing productivity by 30%. It allows by-products from the smelting industry to be processed to meet the slag-forming needs of steel plants while turning waste back into steel, achieving a qualitative change in the ironmaking process. Cold-pressed pellets with a copper content of up to about 50% can produce one ton of steel from two tons of pellets. Adding an appropriate amount of cold-pressed pellets during ironmaking addresses refractory conditions in the process, lowers the melting point of slag, and ensures good fluidity of the slag. Using cold-pressed pellet binders can reduce the consumption of steel materials and lime powder to some extent.
Smelting plant binders are primarily used to agglomerate dust, sludge, and other wastes generated during metallurgical processes, enabling resource utilization while offering environmental and economic benefits. Below is a detailed introduction to smelting plant binders:
Main Components
Polymer: Provides excellent adhesion and stability.
Inorganic Binder: Enhances bonding strength.
Additives: Adjust the properties of the binder, such as hardness and weather resistance.
Performance Characteristics
Environmentally Friendly and Non-Toxic: Free of harmful substances such as S, P, and As; odorless and eco-friendly.
Strong Adaptability: Suitable for various metallurgical wastes, such as dust, sludge, and iron scale.
Improved Pelletization Rate: Reduces waste and enhances production efficiency.
Enhanced Strength: Increases the mechanical and high-temperature strength of pellets, facilitating transportation and smelting.
Cost Reduction: Lowers transportation and smelting costs while improving resource utilization.
Usage Method
1. Mix Raw Materials: Uniformly stir raw materials and binder in proportion.
2. Add Water and Stir: Add an appropriate amount of water and continue stirring until evenly mixed.
3. Forming: Use a briquetting machine to press the mixture into pellets.
4. Drying: Allow pellets to dry naturally or through烘干 to achieve the required strength.
