I. Pellet Binder Performance Characteristics
This binder is synthesized through the polymerization of polymer materials and various chemical raw materials, enabling the pellet products to meet the requirements for furnace application. It is suitable for the forming and agglomeration of various mineral powder raw materials in the metallurgical industry, as well as for the forming and pelletizing of iron-containing dust, sludge, and waste materials. The prepared cold-pressed pellets are widely used as furnace charges for blast furnaces, direct reduction furnaces, cupola furnaces, and submerged arc furnaces. This project has been certified by the Hebei Provincial Department of Science and Technology. It has been adopted by numerous domestic steel enterprises, ferroalloy enterprises, and metallurgical auxiliary material processing companies.
II. Binder Characteristics
1. Easy to use: Simply mix raw materials, binder, and curing water in proportion and stir to form; one ton of binder can process 50 tons of pellets (with binder addition rate of 2-5% for mineral powder mixed with dust and iron scale).
2. Excellent performance: Forming rate as high as 98%, wet pellets do not break when dropped from a height of 2 meters, pellet strength exceeds 1000N per pellet; cold-bonded pellets produced from steel slag magnetic separation powder, dust, and iron scale can be fully used as blast furnace charge for small blast furnaces.
3. Using mineral powder pellets for smelting improves furnace charge permeability, avoiding furnace spraying phenomena. Adding coke powder to produce carbon-containing mineral powder pellets saves 15% of coke, reduces power consumption, lowers dust, and maintains grade without decline.
