The raw materials commonly used in the production of mineral powder briquetting enterprises generally include iron ore powder, chromium ore powder, manganese ore powder, phosphate ore powder, rare ore powder, etc. In the briquetting production process, mineral powder binders are also essential additives. Currently, there are three main types of mineral powder binders available on the market: ordinary mineral powder binders, which, taking iron ore powder briquetting as an example, typically require an addition amount of 1.5%. The total moisture content during production is 6-8%. After briquetting is completed, the briquettes need to be dried in a drying furnace or air-dried for 5-7 days, reducing the moisture content to below 3%. The compressive strength is over 1000N, and the briquettes do not break when dropped from a height of 2 meters. Dry-press binders require an addition amount of 3%-5%. No water needs to be added during production; they are directly mixed with the raw materials in a mixer for 3-5 minutes before being fed into the briquetting machine. After briquetting, the briquettes can be stacked directly. However, due to the characteristics of dry-press binders, the moisture content of the raw materials must be strictly controlled below 3%. No-dry binders require an addition amount of 4% and may need an appropriate amount of water added as required. After briquetting is completed, the briquettes can be stacked outdoors. The strength can reach 1000N after 48 hours, and they do not break during normal loading and unloading.
