Calibration samples are grouped in sets of 11 and must be numbered. [The calibration sample sequence number prompts the order of calibration samples you have measured. After the first calibration sample is measured, proceed according to the pre-arranged sequence to measure the second, third, and so on, until all calibration samples are completed. The instrument limits the number of calibration samples per calibration to no more than 15. Once all calibration samples are measured, return to the [Calibration] page. After calibration sample measurement is complete, you can query all calibration counts to observe the correlation between the counts and content of this set of calibration samples.
Are they placed in the measurement in the pre-arranged order? If there is an order error, re-establish the placement sequence.
The next step requires inputting chemical content. Under the [Calibration] page, press [Calibration 2 Calibration Input] to display the chemical content input screen. Then, input the SO₃ chemical analysis content of the calibration samples in the pre-arranged order.
Next, input the CaO chemical analysis content of the calibration samples in the pre-arranged order.
Then, input the Fe₂O₃ chemical analysis content of the calibration samples in the pre-arranged order.
After that, calculate the K and b values to obtain the required K, b values, and correlation coefficient γ.
3.9.5 The Meaning and Requirements of γ
The K, b, and γ values in [3-25] are calculated from the calibration data using the least squares method. γ is called the correlation coefficient, and its meaning is:
The correlation between the content of the calibration samples and the fluorescence count rate detected by the instrument, testing the accuracy of the chemical analysis content of the calibration samples, and characterizing the quality of the working curve.
General requirements:
γ SO₃ ≥ 0.99, γ CaO ≥ 0.98, γ Fe₂O₃ ≥ 0.98.
If these requirements are not met, the accuracy of the chemical analysis of SO₃, CaO, and Fe₂O₃ in the calibration samples should be checked.
