The unilateral gap refers to the clearance between the inner diameter of the fan stator and the outer diameter of the rotor. The entire operation process of the fan is: electrical energy → magnetic energy → mechanical energy → wind energy. The smaller the gap between the rotor and stator, the more magnetic field lines the rotor can cut, resulting in greater kinetic energy. When the rotor is farther from the magnetic field, increased current is required to enhance the magnetic field force. Therefore, reducing the unilateral gap can lower current and power consumption, achieving energy-saving effects.
Traditional fans have a unilateral gap of 0.45mm–0.55mm. Because the bearing seat uses copper inserts in die-casting, it is difficult to ensure perpendicularity between the bearing seat and the outer frame. Thus, the outer diameter of the rotor must be reduced to prevent friction with the stator, requiring a unilateral gap of 0.45mm–0.55mm.
The KAKU axial fan has a unilateral gap of ≤0.3mm. The outer frame and bearing seat are integrally formed using composite tools, ensuring perpendicular accuracy within ±0.03mm. The stator is processed with fully automatic hydraulic stator insertion equipment to maintain the deformation range of the inner diameter. The rotor is machined using CNC precision lathes, with diamond tool trimming to control the deformation range within ±0.015mm.
