FRASER 1250AIR Ion Air Knife
The FRASER 1250 Ion Air Knife uses low-pressure compressed air, with an electrostatic neutralization distance exceeding 500MM.
Features and Advantages:
The 1250 Ion Air Knife retains the benefits of the 1250S, while utilizing airflow to extend the electrostatic neutralization distance to over 50CM.
It uses ionized airflow to blow onto restricted areas, surfaces with changing positions, or irregularly shaped objects to eliminate static electricity.
Typical applications: Eliminating adhesion between film and rollers in packaging machines; neutralizing static on vacuum and thermoformed packaging; keeping sensors clean and static-free; removing static from conveyor belts, molds, and other items.
The knife can be used for high-pressure cleaning and dust removal.
Working Principle:
Ionized air from AC static eliminators has a short lifespan, typically about 2 seconds, after which positive and negative ions recombine into ordinary air.
This time limitation restricts the effective static elimination distance of ion bars. For example, the maximum effective static elimination distance for a standard 1250S ion bar is 150MM.
The 1250 Pneumatic Ion Bar uses compressed airflow as a carrier to deliver positive and negative ions within 2 seconds to neutralize static electricity.
Compressed airflow passes through the ion bar at a 45-degree angle and is directed at the target to neutralize static.
Compressed Air Supply:
Compressed air should be clean and dry. The air pressure depends on the length of the ion bar. For a typical MM-length
pneumatic ion bar, with an airflow velocity of 2 meters/second, the required compressed air pressure is 0.8BAR.
The orifice diameter on the air tube is 1MM, with a spacing of 15MM. Compressed air consumption depends on the length of the pneumatic ion bar and the air pressure. For the aforementioned 500MM-long ion bar, at a pressure of 0.8BAR, the air consumption is approximately 40L/M.
Compressed Air Pressure:
Normal operating pressure is 0.5-2BAR, depending on the ion bar length.
Available supply pressure is 7BAR; corresponding quick connectors must be confirmed by contacting us.
