Applications and Principle

Static electricity is a potential issue in many industrial fields. It affects production efficiency, reduces product quality, attracts contaminants and dust, and can cause electric shocks to operators.

The 715 enables engineers to scientifically investigate electrostatic problems.
Static electricity is Coulombic charge—when it moves, it forms a current, but when it is stationary, it is difficult to measure. The 715 measures surface voltage. According to the formula Q = CV, since the capacitance C is constant at a distance of 100mm, changes in voltage directly reflect changes in electrostatic charge.
