FTWY-50 Displacement Sensor
1. Product Introduction:
The measuring element is a waveguide, and the sensitive component inside the waveguide is made of special magnetostrictive materials. During the measurement process, the sensor's electronic chamber generates current pulses, which propagate inside the waveguide and create a circumferential magnetic field outside the waveguide. When this magnetic field interacts with the magnetic field generated by the movable magnetic ring sleeved on the waveguide for position change, it causes magnetostriction in the waveguide, producing strain pulses. The position of the movable magnetic ring is determined based on these strain pulses.
2. Product Features:
The surface of the housing is anodized for corrosion resistance. It uses imported waveguide wires as the measuring unit, with DSP digital signal processing, featuring high precision, zero temperature drift, contactless operation, and a service life of up to 20 years. The sliding rod ball head has automatic centering function for easy installation, and the maximum allowable movement speed is 10m/s.

It is widely used in position measurement fields such as civil engineering, rock engineering, machinery, water conservancy and hydropower.
4. Working Principle:
The FTWY-50 digital displacement sensor drives the samarium-cobalt alloy material to move inside a fixed Hall chip via a retractable measuring rod when the measured object moves, and outputs a voltage signal using the Hall effect. This signal directly enters a 16-bit single-chip microcomputer for sampling, is converted into a digital signal, undergoes position nonlinear encoding, and finally outputs the displacement digital quantity via the RS485 standard.
