Wind tunnel test

The so-called wind tunnel test involves placing a scaled-down aircraft model in an air flow pipeline known as a "wind tunnel" to blow air over it, thereby obtaining the lift characteristics, drag characteristics, stability in various directions, and flutter characteristics of the aircraft in different attitudes. Here, flutter characteristics refer to the phenomenon where the aircraft (wing) resonates under specific airflow conditions. Once flutter occurs, the aircraft will shake violently, making operation extremely difficult and flight highly dangerous. Therefore, it should be avoided as much as possible during the design phase.
