Wire and cable testing

Introduction:

Capable of meeting the type tests and prequalification tests for products such as power cables, overhead cables, railway cables, and plastic-insulated civilian wires and cables with voltage levels of 500kV and below. The testing site covers an area of approximately 200,000 m², including a 500kV cable test shielding hall equipped with an 800kV series resonance device and a 3000kV impulse voltage test system, as well as an approximately 12,000 m² outdoor prequalification field for 500kV cables. Additionally, there are smoke density test chambers, fire resistance test chambers, bundle combustion test chambers, medium and low voltage cable test laboratories, and multiple specialized cable testing laboratories for sample preparation, structural dimensions, physical and mechanical properties, and electrical performance. The comprehensive capabilities have reached an advanced domestic level.

Testing Services:

Structural Inspection: Conductor, insulation, sheath, and other protective layer measurements;

Electrical Performance Tests: Power frequency voltage tests up to 800kV and 10A; impulse tests up to 3000kV;

500kV outdoor prequalification tests;

Physical and Mechanical Performance Tests: Various physical and mechanical performance tests of insulation and sheath before and after aging;

Combustion Performance Tests: Bundle combustion, single wire combustion, halogen-free low-smoke performance, fire resistance, and other tests.
