Xuper 680 CGS Tool Steel Electrode

  • Composition Characteristics: A high-alloy manual electrode with deposited metal rich in Fe, Cr, and Ni alloys, featuring an austenitic structure strengthened by δ-ferrite.
  • Performance Advantages:

  • Application Scope: Suitable for welding dissimilar steels, high-carbon steels, and hard-to-weld steels such as cast steel, heat-treated steel, high-carbon steel, manganese steel, stainless steel, tool steel, and steels with unknown composition. Also used for dissimilar steel connections, tool and mold repair, gear tooth restoration, machine casing crack repair, hardfacing and repair of earthmoving and drilling equipment, and worn shaft repair.
  • Welding Process: Generally requires no preheating; preheating depends on the carbon equivalent of the steel, workpiece size, thickness, and geometry. For steels with carbon equivalent CE < 0.2, preheating is usually unnecessary; for CE between 0.2-0.4, preheat at 100-200°C; for CE between 0.4-0.8, preheat at 200-350°C. However, 12%-14% manganese steel must never be preheated, and workpiece temperature should be kept below 250°C during welding. Welding current is selected based on electrode diameter: 45-85A for 2.5mm, 60-110A for 3.2mm, 90-150A for 4.0mm, and 145-200A for 5.0mm. Minimize arc length during welding, keep interpass temperature below 300°C, remove slag before each new pass, use DC reverse polarity (DCEP). Post-weld heat treatment is generally not required; adjust cooling rate based on base material and workpiece size.

N9080 Cobalt-Based Hardfacing Electrode 2

  • Composition Characteristics: A cobalt-based electrode containing chromium, nickel, molybdenum, manganese, and other elements.
  • Performance Advantages:
    • Excellent Heat Resistance: Superior heat resistance with thermal resistance up to 1000°C, good creep resistance, and minimal structural deformation.
    • Low Friction Coefficient: Low friction coefficient for metal/metal sliding performance.
    • Strong Work Hardening: Work hardening rate up to over 60%, with good tempering toughness.
    • Good Corrosion Resistance: Strong resistance to chemical corrosion, high crack resistance, and easy machinability with standard tools after welding.
  • Application Scope: Mainly used for medium-carbon, quenched, and air-hardened steels, alloy steels, manganese steels, and nickel alloys. Particularly suitable for protective coatings on hot-working tools such as forgings, trimming tools, wire drawing dies, shear blades, pliers, and plungers. Also used for protective deposition on hot shear blades, ejection punches, forging dies, hot-forming tools, hot-trimming tools, valve seats, seal valves, guide valves, extruder pistons, water pump shafts, and pump sleeves.
  • Welding Process: Can be welded in all positions with low welding current.
