Copper corrosion inhibitor TTA·Na is a derivative of tolytriazole with strong alkalinity. It is miscible with water in any proportion and soluble in organic solvents such as methanol, benzene, and toluene. TTA·Na is primarily used as a rust and corrosion inhibitor for metals (such as silver, copper, lead, nickel, zinc, etc.), and can also be applied to protect stainless steel, cast iron, cadmium, and nickel alloys. It is widely used in rust preventive oil (grease) products.
Product Performance
(1) TTA·Na can serve as a corrosion inhibitor for copper and copper alloys, and also has corrosion inhibition effects on ferrous metals;
(2) TTA·Na forms a more uniform film and shows better performance when used in combination with sodium mercaptobenzothiazole (MBT·Na);
(3) In circulating cooling water systems, it can be used in conjunction with various scale inhibitors and biocides, providing excellent corrosion inhibition for the system;
(4) TTA·Na can also act as an anti-tarnishing agent for copper and silver.
