Combustion burner failure in condensing gas boilers

1. Connect to power supply, press start, motor does not rotate

(1) Condensing gas boiler pressure insufficient lock; adjust pressure to specified value.

(2) Solenoid valve not tight, gas leakage at joints, check lock; clean or repair solenoid valve pipe joints.

(3) Thermal relay open circuit; press reset to check if components are damaged and motor current.

(4) At least one condition in the loop is not met (water level, pressure, temperature, and whether the programmer is powered on to start); check if water level, pressure, temperature exceed limits.

2. Condensing gas boiler starts, pre-purge normal, but fails to ignite

(1) Insufficient ignition gas, check circuit and repair.

(2) Solenoid valve not working (main valve, ignition valve); replace.

(3) Solenoid valve burned out; replace.

(4) Unstable air pressure; adjust pressure to specified value.

(5) Air volume too high; reduce air distribution, reduce damper opening.

3. Condensing gas boiler fails to ignite, air pressure normal, has electricity but no spark

(1) Ignition transformer burned out; replace.

(2) High-voltage line damaged or detached; reinstall or replace.

(3) Gap too large or too small, ignition rod position relative dimensions; adjust position.

(4) Electrode cracked or short-circuited to ground; reinstall or replace.

4. Condensing gas boiler ignites but extinguishes within 5 seconds

(1) Insufficient air pressure, pressure drop too large, gas supply flow too low; readjust air pressure, clean filter.

(2) Air volume too low, incomplete combustion, thick smoke color; adjust air volume.

(3) Air volume too high, white gas appears; adjust air volume.

5. White smoke

(1) Air volume too low; reduce damper.

(2) Air humidity too high; appropriately reduce air volume, increase intake air temperature.

(3) Exhaust gas temperature too low; take measures to increase exhaust gas temperature.

6. Condensing gas boiler damper stops under control state

Damper position switch signal not fed back to program signal; check if damper wiring is loose or switch is malfunctioning.

7. Burner motor does not rotate

(1) No voltage; connect circuit.

(2) Fuse damaged; replace fuse.

(3) Motor malfunction; repair.

(4) Control circuit interrupted; find break point, contact or disconnect regulator or monitor.

(5) Gas supply interrupted; open ball valve, in case of prolonged insufficient gas supply, notify gas management agency.

(6) Control malfunction; replace.

(7) Contactor not working; manually reset and test.

(8) Thermal relay damaged; replace thermal relay.

8. Burner motor operates, but stops after pre-purge

(1) Air pressure switch malfunction; replace.

(2) Pressure switch contaminated, pipe blocked; clean.

(3) Solenoid valve not sealed; repair or replace solenoid valve.

9. Condensing gas boiler burner motor operates, voltage applied to controller terminal 16, no ignition, fault shutdown after a while

(1) Ignition electrode distance too large; adjust electrode spacing.

(2) Contaminated; clean thoroughly.

(3) Ignition electrode or circuit grounded; eliminate grounding, replace damaged electrode or cable.

(4) Ignition transformer malfunction; replace ignition transformer.

10. Motor operates, ignition normal, but fault shutdown after a while

Solenoid valve did not open due to damaged solenoid coil or broken cable; replace solenoid valve or eliminate circuit interruption, check voltage at terminal 17.
