In 1934, Le Corbusier, Pierre Jeanneret and Charlotte Perriand designed an extra-wide sofa for his apartment at 24 Rue Nungesser et Coli in Paris. This was a ground-floor apartment that he and his wife Yvonne moved into, which was divided into a studio and a private living space.
Although the LC5 SOFA has not received as much exposure as other LC series works such as the LC2 and LC3, it is still a classic design work of Le Corbusier.
