During the long-term operation of the equipment, the connection point may be affected by factors such as moisture, leading to corrosion or even breakage, which increases the resistance at the connection point between the grounding down conductor and the main grounding grid. This may fail to meet the requirements of electrical regulations, posing safety risks during equipment operation. In severe cases, it may result in the equipment operating without proper grounding. Therefore, the "Twenty-Five Key Requirements for Preventing Major Accidents in Electric Power Production" explicitly states that the conduction testing of grounding device down conductors should be performed annually.
