The low temperature globe valve is suitable for the pipeline systems of cryogenic liquid storage and transportation equipment, featuring flexible operation and reliable sealing. This type of specialized globe valve is mainly used in low temperature liquid medium systems (such as liquid oxygen, liquid nitrogen, liquid argon), offering flexible switching, reliable sealing, and pressure resistance.

Working Principle:

Materials working at low temperatures must ensure their low temperature performance, primarily their cold impact strength. Internal valve components must be properly selected to have sufficient cold impact strength to prevent fracture. C and Cr alloy steels quickly lose impact strength below -20°C, so their usage temperatures are limited to -30°C and -50°C respectively. Nickel steel with 3.5% Ni content can be used down to -100°C, and nickel steel with 9% Ni content can be used down to -196°C. Austenitic stainless steel, nickel, Monel alloy, Hastelloy, titanium, aluminum alloy, and bronze can be used at even lower temperatures (-273°C).

Product Features:

1. The valve should be capable of long-term operation in low temperature media and ambient environments.

2. The valve should not become a significant heat source in the low temperature system. This is because heat inflow not only reduces thermal efficiency but, if excessive, can cause rapid evaporation of the internal fluid, leading to abnormal pressure rise and danger.

3. Low temperature media should not adversely affect handwheel operation and packing seal performance.

4. Valve assemblies in direct contact with low temperature media should have explosion-proof and fire-resistant structures.

5. Valve assemblies operating at low temperatures cannot be lubricated, so structural measures must be taken to prevent friction parts from scuffing.
