Principle of Laser Plastic Welding Laser plastic welding utilizes the heat generated by a laser beam to melt the plastic contact surfaces. By employing
specially designed mold fixtures, the melted contact surfaces are bonded after cooling, enabling rapid and non-destructive welding of thermoplastic sheets, films, or molded components. This method allows for relatively easy and environmentally friendly welding of complex-shaped thermoplastic products, including materials such as polyoxymethylene (POM), nylon, PP, PC, PE, PET, and PBT.

Laser Plastic Welding is a joining method that uses a laser to heat and melt two clamped plastic parts, fusing them together. The process, as shown
in the figure above, produces weld seams with strength that can approach or even exceed that of the original material. Products that are difficult to weld using ultrasonic or hot plate welding methods can be easily addressed with laser plastic welding.
Applications span various industries including toys, stationery, home appliances, electronics, food, telecommunications, transportation, medical devices, and packaging. Both automated and standalone distributed arrangements for welding can be achieved.
