Cyclohexanone

(1) Cyclohexanone is an important chemical raw material and a key intermediate in the production of nylon, caprolactam, and adipic acid;
(2) It serves as a significant industrial solvent, such as in paints, especially those containing nitrocellulose, vinyl chloride polymers and their copolymers, or methyl acrylate polymer paints;
(3) It is used as an excellent solvent for organophosphorus insecticides and many similar pesticides, as well as a solvent for dyes;
(4) It acts as a viscous solvent for piston-type aviation lubricants and as a solvent for fats, waxes, and rubber;
(5) It is used in dyeing and delustering silk.
