| Uses | Used as a solvent for rubber, coatings, and varnishes; as a diluent for adhesives; and as an oil extractant. Due to its low toxicity, it is often used as a substitute for benzene in degreasing, delubrication, and paint removal. It is mainly used in the production of nylon monomers such as adipic acid, hexamethylenediamine, and caprolactam, and also serves as a raw material for producing cyclohexanol and cyclohexanone. Used as an analytical reagent, such as a solvent and a standard substance for chromatographic analysis. Serves as a photoresist solvent; used in the extraction of essential oils; cyclohexane is also used as a cleaning and degreasing agent. | ||
