Supplemental Lighting Series Products:
Currently, the country is vigorously developing facility agriculture, with various types of greenhouses springing up like mushrooms. Through developments in recent years, greenhouse design and construction technologies have continuously advanced, and corresponding greenhouse supporting equipment and facilities are also being updated to meet different needs. Below is an introduction to the greenhouse supplemental lighting system.
Greenhouse supplemental lighting is an auxiliary facility based on the needs for tissue culture and cultivation in greenhouses. Different supplemental lights and light strips are manufactured according to the varying light requirements of different crops during their growth cycles. Supplemental lights can be customized based on different light wavelengths and types to suit various crops and meet customer demands.
Advantages of Supplemental Lights:
Small size, robust, compact design, suitable for multi-layer cultivation and three-dimensional combination systems;
As a cold light source, it enables close-range lighting, reducing cooling costs;
Pulsed intermittent irradiation allows plants sufficient dark periods to synthesize organic matter, thereby promoting growth;
Minimal decay during use, with an average lifespan of up to 10,000 hours and a service life of 5-10 years;High brightness, low energy consumption, power usage as low as 1/10 of incandescent bulbs;
Customizable specific wavelengths for targeted effects; single-wavelength LEDs can promote photosynthesis more effectively than broad-spectrum sunlight;
Uses direct current, further saving energy through frequency modulation and duty cycle adjustment. Therefore, using LEDs as artificial light sources for plant production allows for the adjustment of R/B and R/FR ratios by modulating the quantities of red, blue, and far-red light sources, thereby promoting photosynthesis and controlling plant morphology.
For artificial supplemental lighting in winter, light sources such as fluorescent lamps, high-pressure mercury lamps, or xenon arc lamps are recommended. Three 40-watt fluorescent lamps combined, placed 45 cm above seedlings, provide an intensity of 3000Lx-3500Lx. A 100-watt high-pressure mercury lamp placed 80 cm above seedlings offers an intensity of 800Lx-1000Lx. Supplemental lighting should begin after sunrise, typically lasting 2-3 hours per day, and cease once light intensity in the greenhouse increases. On rainy, snowy, or foggy days, full-day supplemental lighting may be applied. Flower cultivation lighting can also follow these guidelines to avoid unnecessary losses due to weather conditions.
