Description
Additional Information

Reverse osmosis deionized water equipment primarily utilizes the different osmotic pressures of various materials to apply a reverse osmosis method greater than the osmotic pressure to a solution, achieving the purposes of separation, extraction, purification, and concentration. This equipment mainly separates ions in the solution, requires no heating, and involves no phase change process, making it more energy-efficient than traditional methods. Process flow of reverse osmosis deionized water equipment: 1. Raw water → raw water tank → raw water booster pump → multi-media filter → activated carbon filter → water softener → precision filter → high-pressure pump → primary reverse osmosis equipment → pure water tank → pure water pump → point of use (output conductivity: ≤10 μS/cm). 2. Raw water → raw water booster pump → multi-media filter → activated carbon filter → water softener → precision filter → primary high-pressure pump → primary reverse osmosis → secondary high-pressure pump → secondary reverse osmosis (reverse osmosis membrane surface with positive charge) → pure water tank → pure water pump → point of use (output conductivity: ≤2 μS/cm). Performance characteristics of reverse osmosis deionized water equipment: It uses low-pressure reverse osmosis membranes, high-efficiency and low-noise high-pressure pumps, and precise instruments to form a reverse osmosis system. This equipment features a fully automatic electrical control system that can control the start and stop of the high-pressure pump, automatic high and low-pressure protection, and automatic fast flushing. It is compact, has low operating costs, and is easy to operate.Deionized water equipment for coated glass

Equipment Process

The process of deionized water can be roughly divided into four types:

First type: Using cation and anion exchange resins to obtain deionized water. After treatment, the output conductivity can be reduced to below 10 μS/cm, and further reduced to below 1 μS/cm after mixed bed treatment. However, this method produces water at a very high cost and contains too many particulate impurities, failing to meet ideal requirements. It is now less commonly used.

Second type: Pretreatment (i.e., sand and carbon filter + precision filter) + reverse osmosis + mixed bed process.

This is currently the most widely used method, as reverse osmosis is relatively low-cost and can remove over 90% of ions in water. The remaining ions are then removed through mixed bed exchange, achieving an output conductivity of around 0.06 μS/cm. This is the most popular method today.

Third type: Two-stage reverse osmosis method.

The process is as follows:

Tap water → multi-media filter → activated carbon filter → water softener → intermediate tank → low-pressure pump → precision filter → primary reverse osmosis → pH adjustment → mixer → secondary reverse osmosis (reverse osmosis membrane surface with positive charge) → pure water tank → pure water pump → microporous filter → point of use.

Fourth type: The pretreatment is the same as the second method, using reverse osmosis, but the mixed bed is replaced with an EDI continuous desalination membrane module. This eliminates the need for acid and alkali to regenerate the resin, using electricity instead. This makes the entire process pollution-free, and the treated water quality can reach above 15 MΩ. However, the initial investment for this method is relatively high, though operating costs are low. It is best to tailor the approach according to the specific needs of each company. The process is as follows:

Raw water → multi-media filter → activated carbon filter → water softener → intermediate tank → low-pressure pump → pH adjustment system → high-efficiency mixer → precision filter → high-efficiency reverse osmosis → intermediate tank → EDI pump → EDI system → microporous filter → point of use.

Equipment Process Characteristics

Ion exchange equipment is a traditional deionized water system with stable water output quality and relatively low cost. In the past, boiler feedwater in power plants commonly used the cation bed + anion bed + mixed bed treatment process.

With the development of reverse osmosis and EDI technologies, the drawbacks of ion exchange equipment, such as complex operation, difficulty in automation, high consumption of acid and alkali, and high operating costs, have become more apparent. It is now more commonly used for advanced treatment after reverse osmosis.

Small-scale ion exchange equipment often uses plexiglass exchange columns, which facilitate observation of resin operation, such as whether regeneration and layering of mixed ion exchangers are sufficient, whether cations are "poisoned," and the extent of resin loss.

Large-scale ion exchange equipment uses carbon steel lined with epoxy resin or rubber, with reserved viewing devices to observe the level of regeneration solution during ion regeneration online.Deionized water equipment for coated glass
