KSR200 Soft Starter

The KSR Series 200 digital AC motor soft starter is a state-of-the-art starting device designed and manufactured using power electronics technology, microprocessor technology, and modern control theory. This product effectively limits the starting current of asynchronous motors during startup and is widely applicable for loads such as fans, water pumps, conveyors, and compressors. It serves as an ideal replacement for traditional step-down starting equipment like star-delta conversion, autotransformer reduction, and magnetic control reduction. The KSR Series 200 motor soft starter employs three pairs of anti-parallel thyristors connected to the stator circuit of the AC motor. By utilizing the electronic switching function of the thyristors and controlling the trigger angle variation via a microprocessor, the conduction level of the thyristors is adjusted, thereby modifying the input voltage to the motor to achieve controlled soft starting. Once the startup is complete, the soft starter output reaches the line voltage. At this point, a bypass control signal automatically engages the bypass contactor KM, connecting the motor to the grid for operation. Overview and Control Functions: The KSR Series 200 motor soft starter is a soft start unit with multiple protective functions, designed in a wall-mounted structure. Its main circuit features nine wiring terminals: besides R.S.T. (power input) and U.V.W. (connected to the three-phase motor), there are three dedicated terminals U1.V1.W1. for external bypass contactors. It also includes interfaces for external start, stop, fault reset, and completion of startup, making it highly suitable for switchgear manufacturers or integrated suppliers. Even when an external bypass contactor is connected, the KSR Series 200 soft starter continues to provide motor protection, eliminating the need for additional motor protection components.
