The KSR Series 100 digital AC motor soft starter is an advanced starting device designed and manufactured using power electronics technology, microprocessor technology, and modern control theory. This product effectively limits the starting current of asynchronous motors during startup and is widely applicable for loads such as fans, water pumps, conveyor systems, and compressors. It serves as an ideal replacement for traditional step-down starting equipment like star-delta conversion, autotransformer reduction, and magnetic control reduction.
The KSR Series 100 motor soft starter utilizes three pairs of anti-parallel thyristors connected to the stator circuit of the AC motor. By leveraging the electronic switching function of the thyristors and controlling the trigger angle variation through a microprocessor, the conduction level of the thyristors is adjusted. This, in turn, modifies the input voltage to the motor, achieving controlled soft starting. Once the startup process is complete, the output of the soft starter reaches the line voltage. At this point, a bypass control signal automatically engages the bypass contactor KM, connecting the motor to the grid for operation.
