Properties: Ammonium chloride appears as colorless crystals or white crystalline powder; odorless. It has a salty, cool, and slightly bitter taste. It has low hygroscopicity but may absorb moisture and form lumps in damp or rainy weather. It sublimes without a melting point. It is low in toxicity but irritating. It is highly soluble in water, slightly soluble in ethanol, soluble in liquid ammonia, and insoluble in acetone. Hydrochloric acid and sodium chloride can reduce its solubility in water.

Product Uses: Mainly used in dry batteries, storage batteries, ammonium salts, tanning, electroplating, precision casting, medicine, photography, electrodes, adhesives, nutrient for yeast, and dough improvers. It can also be used as a fertilizer, specifically a nitrogen fertilizer.
