Properties: Colorless transparent or slightly yellow rhombic crystals, slightly bitter taste, easily deliquescent. When dissolved in water, the solution temperature decreases, and the solution is neutral. Oxidizing; friction or impact with organic matter can cause combustion.

Product Uses: Used in the enamel industry as a flux, oxidizing agent, and raw material for enamel powder. In the glass industry, it serves as a decolorizer, defoamer, clarifier, and oxidizing flux for various glasses and products. In the inorganic industry, it is used as a decolorizer for molten caustic soda and in the production of other nitrates. In the food industry, it is used as a color fixative for meat processing and as a flavoring agent. In the fertilizer industry, it is used as a quick-acting fertilizer suitable for acidic soils. In the dye industry, it is used as a raw material for dyes. In the metallurgical industry, it is used as a heat treatment agent for steelmaking and aluminum alloys. In the machinery industry, it is used as a metal cleaner and in the preparation of bluing agents for ferrous metals. In the pharmaceutical industry, it is used as a culture medium for penicillin. In the tobacco industry, it is used as a combustion aid for tobacco.
