The design of Parker's SMB series servo motors combines cutting-edge technology with exceptional performance. Utilizing the innovative "salient pole" technology, which features a unique neodymium iron boron magnet encapsulated into the motor shaft, the SMB servo motors can achieve high acceleration and withstand high overloads without the risk of magnet demagnetization or detachment. Additionally, the motor size is significantly reduced, offering substantial advantages in specific torque and dynamic performance. Compared to traditional brushless servo motor technology, the SMB servo motors provide approximately 30% higher specific torque, and the rotor inertia is very low, making them particularly suitable for high dynamic applications.

The SMB servo motor series offers a high degree of flexibility due to its wide range of motor frame configurations, flange and shaft options, feedback devices, and winding choices.
