Use one: Used in the production of fragrances, dyes, pharmaceuticals, pesticides, and also as a solvent.
Use three: GB 2760—1996 stipulates it as an allowed food flavor. Mainly used to formulate vanilla, anise, and beer-type flavors.
Use four: Used in organic synthesis, also as a solvent, fragrance, and insect repellent.
Use five: Used as a solvent for recrystallization, thermostat filler, refractive index measurement, fragrance, and organic synthesis intermediate.
