     We often talk about PTFE packing, but do you know what the sealing performance of PTFE packing depends on? It's actually quite simple and mainly involves two aspects: the labyrinth effect and the bearing effect. Below, our company will explain in detail what the labyrinth effect and bearing effect are:
  　Labyrinth Effect: Under microscopic examination, the surface of the shaft is very uneven, and it only partially contacts the PTFE packing, leaving some areas untouched. Therefore, there are tiny gaps between the PTFE packing and the shaft, resembling a labyrinth. The pressurized medium is throttled multiple times within these gaps, thereby achieving a sealing effect.
　　Bearing Effect: A thin liquid film exists between the PTFE packing and the shaft, making the PTFE packing and the shaft function similarly to a sliding bearing. This provides a certain lubricating effect, thereby preventing excessive wear between the PTFE packing and the shaft.
