Structural Components
Impeller: The core component, consisting of blades and a hub. Blades are often aerodynamically twisted and adjustable in installation angle. Parameters such as outer diameter, hub ratio, and number of blades significantly impact fan performance.
Guide vanes: Classified as front, middle, or rear guide vanes. They determine the flow direction before or after the impeller, reduce energy loss, and convert the dynamic pressure of the swirling velocity at the impeller outlet into pressure energy (rear guide vanes).
Collector and fairing: The collector is an arc-shaped section on the casing before the impeller, while the fairing covers the front of the hub in a spherical or ellipsoidal shape. They improve gas entry conditions, reduce inlet flow losses, and enhance fan efficiency.
Diffuser: Converts part of the fluid’s kinetic energy into pressure energy to improve the static efficiency of the fan. Available in cylindrical or conical structural forms.
