Working Principle
Temperature-triggered shutdown: Utilizes the properties of fusible alloy or memory alloy. When the flue gas temperature in the pipeline reaches 70°C (for fire dampers in ventilation and air conditioning systems) or 280°C (for smoke exhaust fire dampers in smoke exhaust systems), the fusible alloy melts or the memory alloy deforms, causing the valve to close automatically.
Electrical signal control: The fire control center can send a DC24V electrical signal to energize the electromagnet inside the valve, achieving valve closure.
Manual control: The valve can be manually closed and reset, facilitating daily maintenance or special operational scenarios.
Structural Composition
Valve body: Includes the housing, flanges, blades, and blade linkage mechanism, serving to accommodate and support internal components as well as connect to the pipeline.
Actuator: Composed of the outer shell, blade adjustment mechanism, clutch, and thermal fuse. It controls the rotation of the blades through a metal fusible link and clutch mechanism to achieve the opening and closing actions of the valve.
Performance Characteristics
Automatic closing function: Capable of automatically closing at specified temperatures, effectively blocking the spread of smoke and fire through the air ducts.
Manual operation function: Facilitates manual opening, closing, and resetting to meet the needs of debugging, maintenance, and inspection.
Signal feedback function: After the valve is closed or opened, it can output a feedback signal, allowing the fire control center to monitor the valve status.
Fire resistance performance: Typically has a fire resistance rating of 1.5 hours, meeting the requirements for fire stability and integrity within the specified time to prevent fire penetration at the valve location.
Excellent sealing performance: Low air leakage and good airtightness, effectively preventing smoke leakage.
Product Classification
Normally open smoke exhaust fire damper: Usually remains open. During a fire, the control center outputs a DC24V power supply to automatically close the valve. When the pipeline temperature reaches 280°C, the fuse activates and the valve closes. It can output a closing signal to interlock and stop the smoke exhaust fan, and can also be manually opened and closed.
Normally closed smoke exhaust fire damper: Usually remains closed. During a fire, the control center inputs a DC24V power supply to quickly open the valve. It outputs an opening signal to interlock and control the fire smoke exhaust fan. It can be manually opened and reset to close, and will close again when the pipeline temperature reaches 280°C.
Remote-controlled smoke exhaust fire damper (steel cable control type): Possesses all the functions of a normally closed smoke exhaust fire damper. It can be manually opened remotely and manually reset to close. The standard steel cable control distance is 6m.
Auto-reset smoke exhaust fire damper: Usually remains closed. During a fire, the control center inputs a DC24V power supply to automatically open the valve. When the pipeline temperature reaches 280°C, the fuse activates and the valve closes automatically. It can be manually opened and does not require manual resetting. Inputting a DC24V power supply automatically resets it to the closed position.
Installation Locations
Ventilation and air conditioning systems: At points where the system passes through fire compartment walls, ventilation and air conditioning equipment rooms, partitions of important or high-fire-risk rooms, and floor slabs; horizontal sections of ducts at the intersection of vertical and horizontal ducts on each floor; on both sides of deformation joints in supply and return air ducts of air conditioning systems.
Smoke exhaust systems: At the entrance of smoke exhaust fan rooms and where smoke exhaust ducts pass through fire compartments, to prevent the spread of fire through the smoke exhaust ducts.
