Gas modular boilers do not suffer from low annual thermal efficiency, load rate, or comprehensive annual energy utilization. This is because, considering the inherent characteristics of modular boilers, they can operate in a multi-unit coordinated control mode under the controller’s networking function. Based on preset heating temperature curves and parameters such as indoor temperature and building thermal inertia, the system intelligently determines the number of boilers to start or stop by referencing outdoor temperature, achieving a near-unattended operation mode automatically. During the control process, the system ensures that each operating boiler maintains full load and high efficiency (above 91%). This essentially eliminates the widespread issues of low thermal efficiency, load rate, and comprehensive annual energy utilization commonly found domestically, delivering significant economic and social benefits. The modular design of gas boilers, combined with the coordination and control of intelligent software, easily enables flexible, efficient, and economical operation of boiler units. For example, a heating station covering an area of 25,000 m² uses 12–18 modular boilers as the heat source. Under manual adjustment, the minimum output regulation accuracy is 8.3%, with a temperature adjustment range of 2.0°C. Under automated software control, the minimum output regulation accuracy improves to 4.0%, with a temperature adjustment range of 0.5°C. This demonstrates that gas modular boiler units offer clear advantages in improving heating quality, reducing operating costs, and lowering energy consumption. Regardless of seasonal conditions, each operating modular boiler can run at full load, while non-operating boilers consume no energy, ensuring the entire boiler system operates at high efficiency. According to actual customer statistical data analysis, combining modular boilers with an automatic control system can significantly reduce excessive heat loss, achieving overall energy savings of 15.4%. Integrating gas modular boilers with an automatic control system allows the system’s water supply temperature to follow the heating curve (error ≤ 0.5°C), truly realizing "on-demand heating" and greatly minimizing both excessive heat loss and underheating issues. Single large boilers lack flexibility in load adjustment, often relying on manual coarse adjustments or methods like "high-low fire" or "peak fire." During the early and late stages of the heating season, when external weather conditions change frequently and significantly, the adjustment performance of traditional boilers makes it difficult to match actual output with required load, often leading to underheating or overheating—commonly referred to as the "supply-demand mismatch." This not only degrades heating quality but also causes unnecessary excessive heat loss. According to domestic literature statistics, the annual comprehensive load rate (including standby units) and thermal efficiency of most domestic oil and gas heating boilers remain below 45% and 72.7%, respectively, which is highly uneconomical. However, these two indicators have not yet garnered sufficient attention from experts. By advanced standards, the comprehensive annual energy utilization of such boiler systems is also very low.
