Ignition and pressurization of the steam generator

After the steam generator is ignited normally, the temperature should be raised slowly to ensure uniform expansion of the furnace walls and the furnace body. The process from ignition under cold conditions to reaching the working pressure should generally be controlled within 3 to 4 hours. When the steam pressure rises to 0.06~0.1MPa, the pressure gauge and water level gauge of the steam generator should be flushed to maintain their normal operation. When the boiler steam pressure reaches 0.15~0.2MPa, close the air valve and check whether the safety valve is leaking. If there is any leakage, immediate measures should be taken to eliminate it. When the boiler pressure rises to 0.2~0.25MPa, perform a blowdown of the boiler drum. During the blowdown of the steam generator, the boiler water level should be at the highest water level line. After blowdown, check whether the blowdown valve is tightly closed and if there is any leakage. When the steam pressure reaches 0.3MPa, conduct a comprehensive inspection of the fasteners of the pressure-bearing components of the steam generator, such as manholes, handholes, inspection holes, and bolts of various flanges, and perform a thermal tightening. When the boiler steam pressure reaches the working pressure, adjust the safety valve.

 During the boiler pressure-raising process, the top vent valve should be frequently opened to avoid air accumulation and reduce boiler corrosion.

Boiler Steam (Heat) Supply

The maximum water temperature of the boiler should be lower than the saturation temperature under the network pressure minus 20°C. For intermittently supplied hot water boilers, the circulation pump should continue to operate during the intermittent periods.
