Physical and Mechanical Properties of HS Alloy
(1) Linear expansion coefficient: a=8.96x10-6/°C
(2) Friction coefficient: f=0.1 (initial) ~0.05 (after operation)
(3) Allowable speed: [v]=6m/s
(4) Allowable specific pressure: [p]=30-45 MPa
(5) Allowable (pv) value: [pv]≥25-30 MPa·m/s
(6) Hardness: HB=140~560 (after heat treatment)
Advantages of HS Alloy
(1) High load capacity: Bearings made of HS alloy have no cage or rolling elements, resulting in high load capacity, which is improved compared to ordinary rolling bearings.
(2) Excellent self-lubricating and anti-seizure properties: HS alloy contains various alloy compounds and 0.5~11% free sulfur. When rotation (sliding) friction begins, the friction surface quickly releases multiple solid lubricants that fill the micro-pits on both surfaces, forming a stable solid lubricating film that provides lubrication and prevents seizure.
(3) Outstanding high-temperature resistance: HS alloy can reliably operate at temperatures up to 800°C without lubrication or cooling. If used in medium to low-temperature environments, its service life is even longer.
(4) Low friction coefficient: Multiple tests and applications have shown that the initial friction coefficient of HS alloy is similar to that of ordinary steel due to the delayed release of self-lubricating substances. However, as rotation (sliding) continues, various solid metal lubricants are released, forming a lubricating film, and the friction coefficient gradually decreases. F=0.1~0.05
(5) High operating linear speed: HS alloy bearings can operate smoothly and reliably at v<6m/s, especially performing better at low speeds.
