1. OKE solenoid valves from the United States are divided into three major categories based on their principles:

Direct-acting solenoid valve

Principle: When energized, the electromagnetic coil generates electromagnetic force to lift the closing element from the valve seat, opening the valve; when de-energized, the electromagnetic force disappears, and the spring presses the closing element against the valve seat, closing the valve.

Characteristics: Can operate normally under vacuum, negative pressure, or zero pressure, but the nominal diameter generally does not exceed 25mm.

Step direct-acting solenoid valve

Principle: It combines direct-acting and pilot-operated principles. When there is no pressure difference between the inlet and outlet, after energization, the electromagnetic force directly lifts the pilot small valve and the main valve closing element sequentially, opening the valve. When the inlet and outlet reach the starting pressure difference, after energization, the electromagnetic force acts on the pilot small valve, the pressure in the lower chamber of the main valve rises, and the pressure in the upper chamber decreases, thus using the pressure difference to push the main valve open; when de-energized, the pilot valve uses spring force or medium pressure to push the closing element downward, closing the valve.

Characteristics: Can operate reliably even under zero pressure difference, vacuum, or high pressure, but requires higher power and must be installed horizontally.

Pilot-operated solenoid valve

Principle: When energized, the electromagnetic force opens the pilot hole, the pressure in the upper chamber rapidly decreases, creating a pressure difference (low above, high below) around the closing element, and the fluid pressure pushes the closing element upward, opening the valve; when de-energized, the spring force closes the pilot hole, and the inlet pressure rapidly enters the chamber through the bypass hole, creating a pressure difference (low below, high above) around the closing element, and the fluid pressure pushes the closing element downward, closing the valve.

Characteristics: The upper limit of fluid pressure range is relatively high, can be installed in any orientation (customization required) but must meet the fluid pressure difference conditions.

2. Imported solenoid valves are divided into six subcategories based on differences in valve structure, materials, and principles: direct-acting diaphragm structure, step direct-acting diaphragm structure, pilot diaphragm structure, direct-acting piston structure, step direct-acting piston structure, pilot piston structure.

3. Solenoid valves classified by function: water solenoid valve, steam solenoid valve, refrigeration solenoid valve, low-temperature solenoid valve, gas solenoid valve, fire protection solenoid valve, ammonia solenoid valve, gas solenoid valve, liquid solenoid valve, miniature solenoid valve, pulse solenoid valve, hydraulic solenoid valve, normally open solenoid valve, oil solenoid valve, DC solenoid valve, high-pressure solenoid valve, explosion-proof solenoid valve, etc.
