Pharmaceutical Industry Stainless Steel Nitrogen Generator Unit
Nitrogen generator for injection filling: During the injection filling production process, nitrogen is used to replace the air inside the bottles to prevent oxidation of the injection, preserve the injection, and extend the shelf life of the injection. The required nitrogen purity is 99.99% or higher. All pipelines of the nitrogen generator must be made of food-grade stainless steel, with connections using clamp fittings. In addition to injection filling, nitrogen generators are also used for drug preservation, preservation of biological raw materials, and pipeline transportation of medicinal liquids. Inert nitrogen gas is used for pharmaceutical packaging, pharmaceutical gas replacement, and pharmaceutical transportation atmospheres.
Specialized nitrogen generators for the pharmaceutical industry are mainly used in drug production, storage, sealing, packaging, and other fields.
Water-based injections that are prone to oxidation (such as penicillin) and large-volume infusions (such as amino acids) typically require nitrogen flushing for protection. Otherwise, the medicinal liquid can easily oxidize, i.e., deteriorate, during storage. Generally, before sealing, nitrogen is flushed both before and after (or solely flushed) to reduce the oxygen concentration in ampoules or infusion bottles to below 0.5%, allowing the medicinal liquid to be preserved for a long time. Currently, the equipment purchased by most manufacturers typically has a capacity of about 5-20 m³/h with a purity of 99.99%. What sets pharmaceutical nitrogen generators apart from other nitrogen equipment is that, in accordance with the international GMP standards for the pharmaceutical industry, all parts in contact with drugs or medicinal liquids must be made of stainless steel and meet sterilization requirements. The equipment must be constructed from stainless steel, and a sterilization filter device must be installed at the nitrogen outlet. Due to the high overall requirements of pharmaceutical factories, the equipment often features high-end configurations.
Additionally, active pharmaceutical ingredient (API) manufacturers also require nitrogen protection, and their nitrogen usage process is more similar to that of fine chemical plants. The purity is typically 99-99.9%, but the consumption varies depending on the scale of the factory, though it is generally much larger than that of pharmaceutical nitrogen generators.
Technical Features of Stainless Steel Nitrogen Generators for the Pharmaceutical Industry
1. Raw air is sourced from nature; only compressed air and a power supply are needed to produce nitrogen. The equipment has low energy consumption and minimal operating costs.
2. Nitrogen purity can be easily adjusted, with purity only affected by the nitrogen exhaust volume. Standard nitrogen purity can be adjusted anywhere between 95% and 99.99%, while high-purity nitrogen generators can be adjusted between 99% and 99.999%.
3. The equipment is highly automated, produces gas quickly, and can operate unattended. Starting and shutting down require only pressing a button, and nitrogen can be produced within 10-15 minutes of startup.
4. The equipment process is simple, with a compact structure and small footprint, making it highly adaptable.
5. The molecular sieve is filled using the blizzard method to avoid pulverization caused by high-pressure airflow, ensuring long-term use of the molecular sieve.
6. The digital flow meter features pressure compensation and high-precision secondary industrial process monitoring instruments, with functions for instantaneous flow and cumulative calculation.
7. Imported analyzers provide online detection with high precision and require no maintenance.
