Laboratory liquid nitrogen generators feature simple process flow, ambient temperature production, high automation, convenient start-up and shutdown, few vulnerable parts, easy maintenance, and low production costs. They are primarily used for teaching in school laboratories, cryopreservation of sperm in animal husbandry, thermal expansion and contraction effects in bearing production, and preservation of beverage cans and drip bottles.
The liquid nitrogen generator utilizes a single compressor-driven deep cryogenic mixed refrigerant throttling refrigerator with pre-cooling to meet the demand for nitrogen liquefaction (-180°C). Based on the regenerative multi-component mixed refrigerant throttling refrigeration cycle, it achieves effective接力 matching of the refrigeration temperature ranges of various boiling point components from ambient temperature to the target refrigeration temperature. It is a highly efficient refrigerator capable of achieving temperatures from -40°C to -196°C. The advantages of this product include the use of mature commercial compressors, heat exchangers, and other equipment available on the market; high liquefaction efficiency, high reliability, maintenance-free operation, and long service life.
Main applications of liquid nitrogen generators:
1. Cryogenic ball milling technology
Liquid nitrogen gas is continuously fed into a ball mill equipped with a thermal insulation cover. This cold gas promptly absorbs the heat generated by the high-speed rotating ball mill jar, keeping the jar containing materials and grinding balls in a certain low-temperature environment. It is used for mixing, fine grinding, new product development, and small-batch production of high-tech materials in low-temperature environments. The product is compact, fully functional, highly efficient, and low-noise, widely used in pharmaceuticals, chemicals, environmental protection, light industry, building materials, metallurgy, ceramics, minerals, and other sectors.
2. Electronic component manufacturing and testing
Liquid nitrogen is a method for testing electronic components and circuit boards.
3. Superconducting technology
It is widely used in various fields, replacing liquid helium with liquid nitrogen as a superconducting refrigerant to obtain superconductors, enabling superconducting technology to move towards large-scale development and application.
4. Green cutting technology
Cryogenic cutting involves spraying cryogenic fluids such as liquid nitrogen, liquid carbon dioxide, and cold air onto the cutting area of the machining system to create a local or ultra-low temperature state in the cutting zone. It utilizes the low-temperature brittleness of the workpiece under cryogenic conditions to improve the machinability of the workpiece, tool life, and surface quality of the workpiece. There are two main application forms of liquid nitrogen cooling cutting: one uses bottled pressure to spray liquid nitrogen directly into the cutting area like cutting fluid; the other uses the heat evaporation cycle of liquid nitrogen to indirectly cool the tool or workpiece. Currently, cryogenic cutting is mainly applied to difficult-to-machine materials such as titanium alloys, high manganese steel, and hardened steel.
