Technical Principle of High-Purity Nitrogen Generators for the Electronics Industry

Pressure Swing Adsorption (PSA) nitrogen generation equipment uses carbon molecular sieve as the adsorbent. Under certain pressure, it separates air by leveraging the different diffusion rates of oxygen and nitrogen in the pores of the carbon molecular sieve. Specifically, the carbon molecular sieve adsorbs oxygen much faster than nitrogen. A programmable logic controller (PLC) manages the opening and closing of multiple valves to alternate the operation of two adsorption towers: pressurization for adsorption and depressurization for desorption. This cycle effectively separates oxygen and nitrogen, producing nitrogen gas at the purity required by the user.
