The carbon-based nitrogen purification unit utilizes the PSA pressure swing adsorption nitrogen generation mechanism to produce nitrogen with a purity of 99.9%. The nitrogen is then introduced into the nitrogen purification unit, increasing its purity to above 99.999%. At a certain temperature, the residual oxygen in the nitrogen reacts with the deoxidizing agent, thereby removing oxygen from the nitrogen. The deoxygenated gas is then passed through a cooler and a dryer to remove moisture, achieving a nitrogen dew point temperature (water content) below -60°C. The dryer is configured with two units: one for adsorption drying, while the other regenerates the dryer that has adsorbed saturated moisture, preparing it for the next adsorption cycle. The dried nitrogen is then filtered to remove dust, resulting in high-purity nitrogen. Nitrogen purification ensures oxygen-free purity (O₂ ≤ 5 ppm, CO₂ ≤ 5 ppm), with the highest deoxygenation depth reaching within 5 ppm. Using carbon as the deoxidizing agent (T3093), it purifies nitrogen with 99.9% purity by deoxygenation.

Advantages of the carbon-based nitrogen purification unit:

1. High reliability of the unit: The entire process operates at a temperature range of 250°C–350°C, ensuring stable high-purity nitrogen supply without being affected by other factors;
2. High industrial safety during operation: The reaction between oxygen and the deoxidizing agent produces inert gases, which, under low pressure and moderate temperature, do not pose industrial safety risks;
3. Reasonable handling of residues without affecting high-purity nitrogen quality: The inert gases and moisture generated from the reaction between oxygen and the deoxidizing agent are largely removed after treatment by the dryer.

Under the action of a catalyst, nitrogen reacts with the hydrogen source introduced into the system to remove residual oxygen, followed by further dehydrogenation. It then enters the drying system for deep dehydration, resulting in high-purity nitrogen.
