Structure and Working Principle of the Vibrating Hopper

The vibrating feeding hopper consists of a fixed hopper connected to the discharge port of the bin, a vibrating hopper with an activation cone inside, a vibration motor, and elastic connecting rods linking the fixed hopper and the vibrating hopper. A sealing ring is installed between the fixed hopper and the vibrating hopper. When the vibration motor rotates, its unbalanced mass generates an inertial force that acts in the horizontal plane, constantly changing direction around the motor shaft. This is equivalent to applying two orthogonal periodic excitation forces with a 90-degree phase difference and a torque that causes rotation around a point at the center of the vibrating hopper. This results in the vibrating hopper performing a planar rotational vibration in the horizontal plane. The vibrating hopper drives the activation cone and transmits motion deep into the material, activating the material and breaking material arches. If material arches reform, the bin discharge stops quickly. Therefore, the vibrating feeding hopper not only breaks arches and discharges material but also functions as a gate for opening and closing. It can continuously feed or stop supplying material as needed.

Installation, Usage, and Maintenance of the Vibrating Hopper

1. The flange at the discharge port of the user's bin should match the size of the bin interface flange of this machine.
2. Add a rubber pad of appropriate thickness between the two flanges and then fasten with screws.
3. For powdery materials, tighten the sealing ring clamp.
4. The vibrating part of the hopper should not have rigid contact with surrounding objects and should have a certain clearance to prevent impact during vibration.
5. Secure the motor with anchor screws.
