Active Magnesium Oxide

Active Magnesium Oxide is a highly reactive, high specific surface area white or pale yellow powder with the chemical formula MgO. Compared to ordinary magnesium oxide, active magnesium oxide has smaller particle size, larger specific surface area, and higher reactivity, which makes it excel in multiple fields.

Basic Characteristics

The specific surface area of active magnesium oxide ranges between 5~20 m³/g, and its apparent specific volume is between 6~8.5 mL/g. Its chemical composition and physical form are similar to ordinary magnesium oxide, but active magnesium oxide has higher activity, typically indicated by an iodine absorption value of 80~120 mgI₂/100 gMgO. Additionally, active magnesium oxide exhibits good chemical stability and thermal stability, maintaining stable performance across a wide range of temperatures and humidity levels.
