Product Overview

Power reliability is crucial in many critical scenarios. To enhance the power supply reliability for loads, dual power sources are generally adopted in power supply systems, such as dual utility power sources or one utility power source plus one UPS. However, a more reliable approach is to use dual UPS power supplies. This method is widely employed in various applications, including computer systems in industrial and mining enterprises, comprehensive commercial IDC rooms, bank branches, telecommunications, mobile communications, and many critical loads in power systems.

For dual power sources, the safety, speed, and effectiveness of switching directly impact power reliability. In particular, many devices have extremely stringent requirements for power interruption time, such as interruptions not exceeding 10ms or even 5ms. Ordinary mechanical contacts like ATS cannot meet such demands. In contrast, the high-speed GSS Static Transfer Switch (STS) features rapid power failure detection capabilities, enabling fast, safe, and effective switching between dual power sources. Drawing on years of field experience in power switching, Guogao Company has developed the GSS series Static Transfer Switch (also known as STS). This series includes single-phase and three-phase static transfer switches. The GSS Static Transfer Switch offers advantages such as compact size, flexible installation, and long-term reliability. It is primarily designed for dual power switching in data centers, equipment rooms, and communication centers.

The Static Transfer Switch is a dual-input transfer switch. Under normal conditions, one circuit is connected while the other is disconnected, supplying power to the load from one AC input. When the connected power source fails, the GSS Static Transfer Switch automatically disconnects the original circuit and connects the alternate circuit, seamlessly transferring the load to the other power source without disturbance.

The GSS Static Transfer Switch primarily consists of an intelligent control board, high-speed thyristors, and circuit breakers. The switching time is less than 5ms, ensuring no power interruption to the load. It not only provides reliable power supply to the load but also ensures the safety of the GSS Static Transfer Switch during phase switching.
