Epoxy coal tar pitch coating is suitable for oil, gas, and water pipelines, as well as the anti-corrosion of equipment and pipelines in water plants, gas plants, refineries, chemical plants, and sewage treatment plants. It can also be used for the anti-corrosion of offshore oil drilling platforms, underwater parts of ships, and mining and underground facilities.

Raw material comparison:

Epoxy coal tar pitch topcoat: Composed of anti-rust pigments, additives, epoxy resin, coal tar pitch, and modified amines, all fused together.

Ordinary asphalt paint: Mainly composed of coal tar and coal tar pitch as raw materials, combined with drying agents, thinners, modified solvents, and other organic solvents.

Difference: From the composition of raw materials, it can be seen that the addition of epoxy resin in epoxy coal tar pitch topcoat gives it superior overall performance compared to ordinary asphalt paint products.

Construction Method  

1. Open and stir: After opening the can, stir the coating thoroughly until there is no sediment at the bottom and no color difference, then apply.

2. Surface treatment requirements: When coating metal surfaces, sandblasting or shot blasting should achieve national standard Sa2½ grade. Keep the surface dry, free of oil, dust, and other foreign matter, and apply within 8 hours.

3. Mixing ratio: Component A : Component B = 20 : 3 (by weight).

4. Application methods: Airless spraying, air spraying, brushing, and roller coating are all acceptable.

5. Theoretical spreading rate: Under a dry film thickness of 60~80 microns, 0.20~0.25 kg/m².

6. Thinner dosage: Depending on the construction conditions, an appropriate amount of special thinner can be added, with a dosage of 5~15%.

7. After the application of one topcoat is completed, it must be naturally cured for 7 days before use. If the ambient temperature is below 10°C, the curing time should be appropriately extended.
