The construction process can be summarized into three key stages:

Stage One: Surface Preparation
"Seven parts preparation, three parts coating"—the quality of surface preparation directly determines the success of anti-corrosion effectiveness.
Cleaning: Thoroughly remove oil stains, dust, salt, and other impurities from the metal surface.
Rust Removal: Loose scale and rust must be completely removed. Common methods include:
Tool Rust Removal: Using wire brushes, sandpaper, angle grinders, and other tools for grinding.
Sandblasting Rust Removal: An effective method that uses high-speed sand particles to impact the surface, achieving a very clean and slightly rough surface, greatly enhancing coating adhesion.
Goal: Expose the natural metal color, with a clean, dry, and uncontaminated surface.

Stage Two: Coating Application
Material Selection and Compatibility: Choose suitable anti-corrosion primers, intermediate coats, and topcoats based on the corrosive environment (e.g., indoor, outdoor, chemical, marine).
Mixing and Stirring: Especially for two-component coatings, the main agent and curing agent must be mixed strictly according to the ratio and stirred thoroughly.
Application: Methods include brushing, rolling, or spraying. Note:
Primer: Good adhesion and strong rust prevention capability, forming the foundation.
Intermediate Coat/Topcoat: Functions to thicken the coating and resist external erosion.
Coating Intervals: The next coat must be applied only after the previous one has surface-dried.
Goal: Achieve a uniform, continuous coating without missed spots, meeting the designed film thickness.

Stage Three: Inspection and Curing
Inspection: Check if the paint film is smooth, free from sagging, pinholes, and other defects, and use a thickness gauge to verify if the dry film thickness meets standards.
Curing and Maintenance: After coating is completed, the coating must fully cure under specified temperature conditions before being put into service.
