       Currently, the filter materials used in waste gas biofiltration bed/pool treatment processes are divided into two categories: inorganic filter media and organic filter media. Inorganic filter media primarily consist of aerated concrete, porous ceramic pellets, lava granules, slag, and other inorganic materials. Organic filter media include bark, wood chips, plant roots, branches, sawdust, peat, and their mixtures. In developed countries, bark and wood chips are widely used as biofilter media in waste gas treatment processes. In China, they are extensively applied in the treatment of harmful pollutants in industries such as chemical, pharmaceutical, electroplating, painting, and printing, as well as in odor control at wastewater treatment plants, composting facilities, and landfills. Grace wood chips are an environmentally friendly organic filter material made primarily from pine wood chips through processes including mechanical chipping, grading, screening, and packaging.
