1.1 Research Status of High-Strength Steel
As a structural component still in the stage of in-depth research, current studies on high-strength steel are primarily divided into material property research and mechanical performance research. In terms of material properties, analysis of the elements contained in high-strength steel has revealed that traditional high-strength steel is mainly composed of elements such as iron and carbon. When other metallic elements are added to high-strength steel, it can effectively enhance properties such as strength, fracture resistance, corrosion resistance, and environmental temperature tolerance (high and low temperatures). In steel structure production, structures produced using heat treatment processes often exhibit higher strength and tolerance compared to cold-rolled structures. At the same time, producing high-strength steel at lower temperatures (below the crystallization temperature) and applying cold working hardening can significantly increase the hardness of high-strength steel.
