Indonesian Glycerin

Chemical properties: Colorless, transparent, odorless, viscous liquid with a sweet taste and hygroscopicity. Miscible with water and ethanol; aqueous solution is neutral.

Uses: Humectant (for bread, cakes, etc.); carrier solvent (for fragrances, pigments, non-water-soluble preservatives, etc.); thickening agent (for beverages, formulated wines, etc.); plasticizer (for candies, desserts, meat products); sweetener. EEC regulations permit its use in alcoholic beverages, candies, cakes, coatings and glazes, coatings for meat and cheese, non-alcoholic beverages, baked goods, chewing gum, gelatin desserts, etc.

Uses: Glycerol is an important basic organic raw material widely used in industry, medicine, and daily life. It currently has approximately over 1,700 applications, primarily in pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, alkyd resins, tobacco, food, beverages, alkyd resins, celluloid, and textile printing and dyeing. The consumption of glycerol in alkyd resins and celluloid has shown a declining trend. However, its applications in pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, and food are expected to continue growing.

Uses: After hydrolysis in the body, it can form a nutritional source. It is also widely used in textiles, food, papermaking, metal processing, paints, daily chemicals, petrochemicals, pharmaceuticals, tobacco, military industry, and other sectors.
