About the Procedures for Exporting Used Cars
Many used car dealerships are still unaware of how to handle car exports. When encountering foreign buyers who request export services along with the purchase, they often do not know how to proceed, leading to canceled purchases and negatively impacting the dealership's business.
Now, I will briefly explain the process for handling the export documentation for used cars:
1. After purchasing the car, the customer needs to provide the company handling the export with photos of the front and back of the vehicle's license, and obtain an electronic version of the power of attorney from the vehicle management office in the city where the export port is located (this is very important, as versions from other locations may differ in format and cause processing issues).
2. After receiving the customer's photos and the electronic power of attorney, the company will print the power of attorney along with the business license, stamp it, and mail it to the customer.
3. Upon receipt, the customer should go to the vehicle management office to apply for the vehicle export registration booklet and invoice, typically for an amount under 5,000 RMB.
4. Once the vehicle management office completes the process, the green book (vehicle registration certificate) should be mailed to the company.
5. After receiving the green book and invoice, the company can begin processing the export procedures.
6. Then, the export documents will be issued.
