Plate chain

Plate link chain, commonly known as balance chain, is a widely used type of steel traction chain. It is primarily composed of pin shafts and chain plates connected in various configurations. Due to the flexible rotation of each chain link and the variability of contact surfaces, it is used as a replacement for steel wire ropes in lifting applications. It is employed in lifting and traction equipment for forklifts and hoists, balancing devices, and various reciprocating motion mechanisms. Based on the application, it is categorized into "LL, AL" light-duty and "LH or BL" heavy-duty types. "LL, AL" light-duty plate link chains feature chain plates and pin shafts with dimensions almost identical to those of short-pitch roller chains of the same grade, with an even number of chain links evenly combined.
