The UK-made ABI-3400 circuit board fault detector can analyze components and perform full-board testing under static (non-powered) conditions. Utilizing a unique three-dimensional V-I-F dynamic impedance testing method, it measures electrical signal curves, detects errors/flaws, including internally damaged components and inconsistent components, expanding the scope of problem detection while reducing testing time!

2. Hardware Configuration:
1) Features 64-channel digital V-I dynamic impedance testing (expandable to 2048 channels).

Equipped with variable-frequency three-dimensional V-I-F measurement mode, it three-dimensionally displays the port characteristic curves of components. Can detect faults related to component frequency. Three-dimensional and two-dimensional views can be switched, and electrical parameter values (V/I) of each point on the curve can be displayed on the two-dimensional graph: specific voltage and current values. What is V/I Curve Testing?
For analog and digital circuit boards, V/I curve testing is a mature and reliable solution. By applying an AC voltage to a test point through a current-limiting resistor, the resulting current is measured, and the results are plotted as a voltage/current graph, displaying the characteristic curve of that test point.
Analyzing V/I curves, typically by comparing them with a reference point, detects issues such as: Leakage current components. Internally damaged components. Components with incorrect values. Inconsistent components. Short circuits and open circuits.
Variable Frequency Scanning Method---Expands Problem Detection Range!
The UK-made ABI-3400 circuit board fault detector increases problem detection range by changing the frequency of the AC voltage of the V/I signal. The resulting curves are plotted in a 3D window, allowing users to observe V/I curve changes across the entire frequency range, thereby identifying issues not visible with standard V/I analysis methods.
Matrix Scanning V/I-----Expands Problem Detection Range!
The ABI-3400 module can also use matrix scanning to obtain V/I curves, expanding the problem detection range. In this mode, the ABI-3400 module obtains V/I curves for each pin of a component or circuit board by referencing all other active pins (unlike standard V/I testing which uses only one reference pin). This generates a rich dataset (400 curves for a 20-pin component), sufficient to detect hard-to-find faults.
