When solid or liquid fuel is burned in a boiler, soot adheres to both the heating surfaces and the flue. A one-millimeter layer of soot on the heating surfaces reduces thermal conductivity by approximately 50 times, leading to decreased boiler thermal efficiency, increased energy consumption, and shortened service life. In severe cases of soot accumulation, not only does heat exchange deteriorate, but the increased flue resistance can also disrupt normal boiler operation, sometimes necessitating shutdowns for soot removal, which impacts production. Traditionally, soot was removed manually or with steam blowing, methods that were labor-intensive, inefficient, harmful to operators' health, and often incomplete, while also risking damage to the boiler. The use of this product helps save energy, reduce boiler corrosion, lower costs, improve working conditions, and benefits environmental protection.

Principle

When Haolang Soot Remover burns in the high-temperature zone of the furnace, alkali metal cations are produced and adhere to the boiler tube surfaces, preventing soot deposition. The agent promotes complete oxidation, enabling accumulated soot to burn entirely. Molten nitrates cause hard soot deposits to crack and become brittle. Under the action of a catalyst, soot becomes more susceptible to oxidation. During combustion, nitrates and sulfur produce gas shock waves under certain conditions, facilitating soot detachment. The nitrites produced from nitrate decomposition also provide a certain corrosion inhibitory effect on the tube walls. Additionally, added corrosion inhibitors slow down boiler corrosion and reduce sulfur dioxide formation, ensuring complete fuel oxidation and combustion. This reduces the release of soot and carbon monoxide into the atmosphere. The combustion of ammonium salts lowers nitrogen compounds in the flue gas, benefiting environmental protection.

Usage Method:

Soot remover can be directly applied through the inspection hole onto the grate. Before application, the boiler should be in a hot state after burning for some time, ensuring the refractory bricks are heated. After adding the soot remover, maintain high-fire combustion to allow the chemical gases to fully contact the soot-adhered heating surfaces for optimal results. For oil-fired boilers, first place the soot remover into the dosing tank of the spray gun. After sealing the tank cover, insert the spray tube into the inspection or ignition port (avoid inserting too deeply to prevent high temperatures from causing agent clumping and blockage). Quickly open the compressed air valve and use compressed air at a pressure of 2-3 kg/cm³ to atomize the agent into the furnace.

Dosage

The dosage is 0.05% of the daily fuel consumption. The initial dosage should be 2–3 times the normal amount. If soot accumulation is severe, the initial dosing period can be appropriately extended, typically lasting about one week.

Economic Benefits

Within 7–16 days of using the boiler soot remover, existing soot deposits in the boiler can be cleared (continued use maintains clean heating surfaces), improving heat transfer and reducing heat loss. According to current practical boiler tests, thermal efficiency can be relatively increased by 8.1–9.6%, with a coal saving rate of 5–10%.
